2008-2009

Throughout the 2008-09 school year, Tompkins Cortland Community College will hold special events to commemorate its 40th anniversary.

Chamber invitation On October 2, the College hosted a joint Chambers of Commerce event in the BorgWarner Morse TEC Field House in the new TC3 athletic facility. The event brought community leaders to campus and showcase our programs and new facilities.

The 1968-theme ball, “The Impossible Dream” planned for Nov. 1 has been cancelled.

On April 20, 2009, musician and music historian Barry Drake will present two multimedia programs sponsored by TC3's College Entertainment Board. At noon, Drake will present 80s Rock: Music in the Video Age and at 7:30 p.m. he will present 60s Rock: When the Music Mattered.

Late afternoon reception at TC3 following the tournament. Registration information will be available soon.

On May 2, 2009, a year-end 40th Celebration featuring a barbecue, fireworks, and a showcase of student and faculty work. The event will be the final celebration event of our anniversary year.

Commencement 2009 will include a ceremonial conclusion to the 40th Anniversary.
