Our History

You are one of the few! Out of over 2,000 community and junior colleges, it is estimated that only 30% offer the benefits of an alumni association. Feel lucky, check us out, and get involved.

Officially formed in 1990, your alumni association started out with only 60 members gathering for its first Alumni Dinner and presentation of the Distinguished Alumni Award (a lot like Thanksgiving but we served chicken cordon blue and had awards). Since then membership has grown to over 300!

Our members have enjoyed:

• Sponsored trips to New York, Washington, D.C., and Toronto.
• Events including dinners, wine tasting, and athletic events.
• The opportunity to reconnect to the college and each other.

Not only do you belong to one of the few alumni association, you belong to an award winning alumni association. Some of our accolades include the Excellence in Programming award from the SUNY Alumni Confederation, a Leadership and Development award for our board retreat, and in 1994 we were the only community college to win an award for fund-raising.
