Tech Prep

Tech Prep is a program funded federally through the Carl D. Perkins Act to help high school students gain experience and coursework in preparation for college and careers. Tech Prep develops sequences of high school courses that are aligned with college majors or career options to provide them the skills and know-how they need for success.  By working collaboratively with high school career and technical education teachers, local industry leaders, and TC3 professors, Tech Prep

• supports faculty through professional development and special project opportunities
• promotes career pathways and career planning
• provides quality college credit through concurrent enrollment and articulations

Important Update

Effective Immediately Due to a change in the grant funding for Tech Prep, TC3 will no longer be allowed to offer tuition waivers to Tech Prep students for courses on campus, online, or at our Extension Centers. Concurrent enrollment (dual credit) courses will still continue to be offered at high schools and BOCES at no cost. Tech Prep students may also participate in the CollegeNow Online program and take classes online for $50 per credit, a savings of over 60%.
