![]() International AdmissionsTompkins Cortland Community College enrollment is approximately 3,200, divided evenly between full- and part-time students (full-time is defined as enrollment in 12 or more credit hours). International students on F-1 visas have to be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits. Other international students may enroll as either part-time or full-time students.) Classes are offered both day and evening, with evening classes held on campus and at several extension centers in the area for your convenience. Download application booklet & forms. Students who hold or will hold a high school diploma prior to enrollment will be offered admission to the college. However, certain curricula, such as nursing, require specific academic credentials. Admission to these programs will be based upon an evaluation of the applicant's credentials or special achievements to date. It is very important that you submit applications containing complete and accurate credentials. As an open admission institution, we encourage those students who do not meet traditional entrance requirements to apply. Students who do not meet traditional entrance requirements will be required to take placement testing. Students who are seeking admission on an F-1 visa should follow the procedures outlined below. The college reserves the right to require a deposit equal to one year’s tuition. This deposit will be forfeited if a student fails to complete enrollment as outlined in the letter of acceptance. Upon receipt of the tuition deposit, the required visa authorizations will be forwarded to the student. |
