New Year, New Magazines

The Library has added some new subscriptions in order to expand our selection of leisure reading magazines. As the first issues of 2013 begin to arrive, people will be able to browse print copies of:

  • Adbusters (social aspects of advertising)
  • Adirondack Life
  • Backpacker
  • Bitch:  Feminist Response to Pop Culture
  • Car & Driver
  • Found Magazine (found objects such as notes, photos, and poems that offer a glimpse into someone’s life or an event)
  • Game Informer Magazine:  For Video Game Enthusiasts
  • Make:  Technology on Your Time
  • McSweeney’s Quarterly (short stories and experimental fiction)
  • Mother Earth News
  • Mother Jones
  • n+1 (politics, literature and culture)
  • Organic Gardening
  • Orion Magazine (nature writing; environmental and cultural concerns)
  • Plank Road Magazine:  Connecting the Towns and People of Central New York
  • Relevant (Christian life)
  • Scientific American
  • Tricycle:  The Buddhist Review

We've made some changes to our scholarly/academic journal subscriptions, too:  adding a few titles and changing other subscriptions to online instead of paper.  The programs effected will be notified separately.
