Frequently Asked Questions

I don't go to campus much. Should I get a College ID?
If you can conveniently make it to campus, it is a very good idea to get a college ID. You do need the TC3 ID to check out books at the library. Your ID card also gives you access to the libraries of 64 SUNY campuses, including SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Cortland and the Catherwood Library at the School of Industrial Relations at Cornell University.

How do I access the library databases and electronic reserves?
Use the number on your TC3 ID card. Students or staff without a card can look up their ID number in IQ Web.

I need help with research. Can I get it from off campus?
You can get help electronically through Ask a Librarian or call us at 607 844-8222, ext.4395.

I am having trouble connecting to the library databases. I get a message about ID number "activation."
For technical help contact Bill Drew, 844-8222, ext. 4406.

Will you mail me a book if I request it electronically? How do I request it electronically?
For help borrowing materials, including a request like this, contact  library@TC3.edu. We will mail TC3 library books to you if you live more that 25 miles from the Dryden campus.
